Love the Fever!! Love women's basketball!!!!

Always love to visit Indy and I always see the Fever. I have followed women's basketball since its inception, and I always find it delightful to watch. I played in the early 70's, prior to Title IX, and I'll never forget my first time to actually see a professional women's game---I was in awe!!! I never thought in my lifetime that I would be seeing women playing at a professional level and actually getting paid to play! What a reality check. For those of us who were athletes prior to Title IX, I feel so proud to have been able to watch the evolution of women's sports, and to feel like, maybe just a little, I helped to pave their way. I thoroughly enjoy following the girls through college and then on to professional sports teams. I only wish I had the opportunity to watch more often. Living in Memphis and without our own women's team, trips to Atlanta and Indy are the two closest venues but make for a long drive. Still, I am excited to be able to visit these cities for the four or five times a season that I get to go.

Fever Frenzy

We went to this great game (although the Fever lost) when it was Kid' s Day. There were busloads of children there, but they were basically well behaved. The Fever Management had lots of activities to keep the children entertained during the breaks and time-outs. We took our Grand-daughter, and she enjoyed seeing Boomer from the Pacers, and getting the sticks to bang to make the arena noisy. Wish we had seen more adults in attendance, but it was a good crowd and everyone there appeared to be enjoying the game and activities. Women's basketball is just as entertaining as men's basketball, and the tickets are a bit easier on the wallet. Good family fun, as well as couples entertainment.
